Texas Tea Party “Christian” Dunces Approve Gun Culture!

Texas Tea Party Christians

Gun culture is engraved in America, in our lives, in our childhood

Photographer, Zed Nelson, snapped this group of Texas Tea Party Christians seated before a demure portrait of their God. He commented:

The anti-tax, anti-government Tea Party movement is both a product and an expression of the current volatility in American politics. Reckless, anarchic and strident, it is galvanizing support around the country.

This Tea Party’s website says it wants to stop the country swinging towards socialism and even Marxism, and to do it they must protect the right to bear arms from the insanity of the Obama administration. They evidently are proud to boast that they are Christians. Regrettably, they simultaneously boast that they are utter dunces, thick as two short planks and as uneducated as the hickiest hillbilly!

Have they actually read what the Christian god did and said while he was incarnated on earth, in their favorite legend? They evidently haven’t a clue what their supposed God taught or did, or required of his followers, and required it on pain of hell fire, one might add. They do not worship Christ, but Antichrist. Christ was a pacifist who would not raise a finger in his own defense. He did not approve of weapons, settling for a single sword, and criticized Peter for using it to cut off a man’s ear in defending his master. How could a God who said what he said and acted as he did possibly approve of gun toting? And if these people claim to be Christians, yet advocate gun toting, then surely they had better be prepared for an eternity of roasting in hell like the rich man Dives, anti-hero of one of their God’s parables.

Moreover, what is the basis of their fear that the US is getting socialist? The opposite is true. How can they not be aware that the US in the last twenty or thirty years has seen its mega rich class get hugely richer while the rest, the large majority of Americans, including most of the middle classes, excepting for the richest among them, get poorer. The New York Times has just reported:

The share of total income going to the top 1 percent of earners, which stood at 8.9 percent in 1976, rose to 23.5 percent by 2007, but during the same period, the average inflation-adjusted hourly wage declined by more than 7 percent.

The fact is US needs a little socialism to make it a fairer society. These simple hicks must think they among the richest 1 percent, otherwise how can they justify their nutty economic response. They are the dupes of the rich 1 percent who actually run this supposed democracy, and they are almost entirely Republicans, the ones who are fomenting the Tea Party shenanigans supported by a bunch of nitwits.

So these people have to be as thick as molasses and as antichristian as Satan to think, speak and act as they do. If they are typical Americans, how on earth did American get to be a world leader. One thing is certain, and that is with people as stupid as this, it won’t be for many years longer.

  1. Mike: I greatly appreciate your Christianity-Judaism pages, even as I overlook their faults, but cringe at this childish anti-Americanism and name-calling.

Say, did you write this piece in view of the telescreen?

Maybe Mohammed down at Minitrue will see it and put some extra points in your column.

  2. JAUG, I suggest you read the piece again. It is not anti-American. It is against the type of American illustrated: ignorant, hypocritical false Christians and ultra right wing dupes of the ruling elite. You illustrate a point, though, and that is that many Americans cannot stand any criticism of the US. That is one of its troubles from the viewpoint of the rest of the world, and something Americans just cannot seem to understand. Criticism can be well meant and constructive, but too many of you resent even the best intended criticism. Many of you seem to think any criticism shows outsiders, especially Moslems, hate you and want to destroy you, when it is generally not at all true. We fear you are intent on self destruction, and we will be part of it!

By the same token, there is no need to overlook any faults you see in my other writings. If they are wrong, I am glad to be corrected, and otherwise I value the chance to defend what I have written.
